Properties: Colorless rhombus crystal, easy effloresces in the air, dewatering to anhydrous matter at 100℃ and breaking down into sodium pyrophosphate ; soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol, aqueous solution is alkali(PH=0.9 of 0.11N aqueous solution).
Application: Water softening agent, tanning, dye, weight increasing agent in textile industry, fire retardant agent of wood and paper, welding agent, laxative inedicine, inoculum of peniciline and streptomycin, adjusting liquid of phmeasurement, deironagent, paint and pigment, food industry, baking powder and electroforming as well as materials for making pyrophosporate and other phosphates.
